I don't just
teach the exam.
I fix what's
making it hard.

If your teenager has worked with other tutors and is still struggling — there is usually a root cause. I find it, diagnose it, and rebuild from there.

Charmaine Albers

I meet each student where they are, and walk with them toward who they are becoming.

— Charmaine Albers

Teaching that starts with the student, not the syllabus.

Most tutors reteach what the school already taught. I look deeper — at how your child processes language, where the gap actually is, and what will unlock real progress.

25 years. Two countries. One specialisation.

I am a literacy specialist and certified reading therapist with 25 years of international teaching experience across South Africa and the United Kingdom. I work with students who have tried other routes and are still stuck — because I don't just reteach, I find where the difficulty actually starts.

My approach draws on Phono-Graphix, structured literacy, and 25 years of classroom and one-to-one experience to build lasting skills — not just exam results.
